Change In Visitation Hours Announced At Dutchess County Jail

Residents with loved ones or friends in the Dutchess County Jail will soon be able to visit them on Sunday, according to Dutchess County Sheriff Adrian ”Butch” Anderson.

After receiving numerous requests from family and friends of inmates, the sheriff said he worked to Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro to make the change happen.

Currently, the visitation hours are Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  however effective Sunday the hours will be:

  • Sunday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Tuesday thru Friday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Monday, Saturday and holidays are not visitation days.

Each inmate is permitted two, one-hour contact visits per week and is allowed up to one adult and two children, two adults and one child or two adults during each visit.
